About me
I am a builder. I didn't always embrace that title, especially since the word denoted characteristics or a role traditionally ascribed to men. That's not the choice I willingly made, it just happened.
Most of us know building is not reserved for men. However, I unintentionally rejected the term because of my unchallenged perception and unconscious bias. Upon inspection, I realize building is every part of work that I do - whether I'm building technology products for companies I've worked; building high-performing teams that delivered products and services to customers; building bridges to people of other backgrounds, ethnicities and intersections to foster respect and love; building pathways for our youth and creating opportunities for the underserved; or building community so we live into something greater and collectively thrive... Building is not what I do, it's who I am.
